An original member of The Ten Tenors, Nathan Kneen is a music theatre specialist, but has had extensive professional experience in opera, operetta, and as a concert and recital artist.  Nathan began his interest in music at age 8, and his love for singing blossomed, seeing him transform from a boy soprano into a versatile tenor, covering an impressive vocal range.

After finishing his studies at the Conservatorium of Music in Brisbane, Nathan toured Australia and New Zealand as a Protean in Simon Gallaher’s production of A funny thing happened on the way to the forum.  He also understudied the role of Hero, a role he played on stage over 20 times.  Nathan performed in the ensemble of Opera Queensland productions of Faust and Fledermaus and in The Merry Widow, once again a Simon Gallaher production.

Nathan has been a regular soloist with the Queensland Pops Orchestra, having appeared in their Butterfly to Broadway, Best of Brittish, All Creatures Great & Small, and Vienna Pops series, as well as guest starring in the Queensland Pops’ Tribute Concert for Diana, Princess of Wales which was broadcast on the Seven Television Network.

A personal highlight for Nathan was being asked to perform at the Canonisation of Mary MacKillop in Rome in October 2010 as part of the representative group from the Australian Catholic University.

Scott Muller has recently performed with the Fingask Follies in a revue show touring Scottish castles and closing in London.

His London stint follows study in the Graduate Music Theatre program at New York University. He returned home to perform his own sell-out show Scott Muller: A New Voice at RPAC (2008) and later won the Music Theatre section of the South East Queensland Aria and Concerto competition.

Scott has performed as Gaston in Beauty and the Beast (Harvest Rain) with further theatre highlights including Jamie in The Last Five Years (Best actor in a Musical, Gold Coast Area Theatre Awards), Banquo in Macbeth: the contemporary rock opera at QPAC and Galahad inSpamalot.

Scott graduated in 2004 with a Bachelor of Music (Classical Voice) at the Queensland Conservatorium of Music. There, Scott performed in Operas The Pilgrim’s Progress,Semele and The Magic Flute.

Scott fronted the Brisbane All Stars Youth Big Band which represented Australasia at the International Association of Jazz Education conference (2005) in California and Disneyland. His jazz quartet performed at the Spiegeltent as part of the 2006 Brisbane Festival.

While not performing, Scott works in childcare, putting to use his Graduate Diploma in Early Childhood Education.

Seb has since appeared in a number of productions including Britten’s Albert Herringwith the Queensland Conservatorium, Purcell’sThe Fairy Queen (QCGU), Puccini’s Gianni Schicchi (QCGU), and in the world premiere of Betty Beath’s Poverello.

He was also the featured tenor in Haydn’s Nelson Mass with the University of Queensland Chorale and in Mozart’sMass in C Minor with the Brisbane Chorale.

Sebastian graduated from the Queensland in 2011 with a Bachelor of Music in Classical Voice.

Sebastian has always envisaged a career in music, and is extremely excited to have the opportunity to debut with The Ten Tenors in 2012.
