Since The TEN Tenors was first formed in 1995, the group has performed extensively in Australia, overseas and on television, and their signature brand of music featuring 10-part harmonies has been enjoyed by more than 90 million people.
They have headlined more than 2,000 concerts around the world, sold more than 3.5 million concert tickets and become renowned for their dynamic, choreographed performances and skillful ability to seamlessly transition from operatic arias to soulful ballads through to chart-topping pop and rock songs.
They have also shared the stage with artists including Lionel Richie, Rod Stewart, Andrea Boccelli, Willie Nelson, Alanis Morissette and Christina Aguilera. They have also appeared extensively on TV, including The Today Show, Oprah’s Australian Adventure, and Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, as well as the Jerry Lewis MDA Telethon for an audience of 32 million viewers and the 2012 UEFA Cup in Warsaw, Poland.
The TEN Tenors have also recorded numerous albums over the years, many of which have achieved platinum and gold status.

MEET THE TENORS
Michael Edwards
Tenor Touring MD
A love of singing has always been part of life for Michael, who began his career performing with a number of choirs, starting with the Australian Boys Choral Institute at the age of eight. He followed this with stints performing with groups including the National Youth Choir of Australia, the Adelaide Chamber Singers and The Consort of Melbourne before studying at the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music (where he was part of an award-winning vocal quartet) and moving into opera. He has performed in a range of productions with the Victorian Opera Chorus, including Nixon in China, La Traviata, and I Pagliacci, and was part of the company’s ANZAC centenary production, Remembrance.
Cameron Barclay
Tenor & Choreographer
The first New Zealander to join the group, Cameron hails from Auckland and studied extensively in his early years, graduating from both the University of Auckland and the New Zealand School of Music in Wellington. Prior to joining TTT, Cameron kept busy as a member of the Chapman Tripp Opera Chorus, and performed in numerous shows and concerts including The Phantom of the Opera in Japan, The Pirates of Penzance in New Zealand, Die Fledermaus, Albert Herring, Handel’s Messiah and Margaret Wegener’s Ode to a Nightingale with the Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra in the first recording of this work.
Boyd Owen

Boyd hails from both Australia and New Zealand. He has extensive experience in the world of opera, with career highlights including: Carmina Burana, Orff (Carnegie Hall, NYC) Lindoro – L’Italiana in Algeri, Rossini (Florence, Italy) Ernesto – Don Pasquale, Donizetti; Prologue/Quint, – Turn of the Screw, Britten (Bologna, Italy) Elvino – La Sonnambula, Bellini; Nemorino – L’Elisir D’Amore, Donizetti (Orvieto, Italy) Duca di Mantua – Rigoletto, Verdi; Pinkerton – Madama Butterfly, Puccini (Wellington, New Zealand) Rodrigo – Otello, Rossini; Riccardo Percy – Anna Bolena, Donizetti (Melbourne, Australia) Alfredo – La Traviata, Verdi (Wuhan, China) Evangelist – Johannes Passion, Bach; Messiah, Handel (Shanghai, China).
Daniel Belle
Tenor
Sydney-sider Daniel joined TTT after studying at both the Sydney Conservatorium of Music and the Australian Institute of Music, and has been a vital member of the group across several tours and albums. He has managed to balance his work with TTT with an exciting line-up of extra gigs including roles in Jerry Springer the Opera (at the Sydney Opera House), Les Miserables (on tour throughout Australia and Asia), Sideshow at the Hayes Theatre and My Fair Lady in Sydney.
Adrian Li Donni
Tenor
Adrian is the Broadway king of the group, having spent three years living in NewYork City studying at the Circle in the Square Theatre School. His time on theGreat White Way has served him well, and he’s gone on to perform in productions of many of the most iconic musical theatre shows including Disney’s Beauty and the Beast at Melbourne Zoo, Jesus Christ Superstar in Slovenia and Miss Saigon on the Gold Coast. He won a Green Room Award in 2014 for his performance in Sondheim’s Pacific Overtures, and reprised the role of Lun Thafor numerous productions of The King and I in Texas, Melbourne, the UK/Irelandand on an Australian tour that included the Sydney Opera House.
Ammon Bennett
Tenor
Ammon Bennett is a Tenor from Rockingham, Western Australia. IN 2017, Ammon left the mining industry to undertake WAAPA’s classical voice program, and start his career in music. During his time at WAAPA, Ammon had roles such as The Dean in Cendrillon, Alfredo in Die Fledermaus and Frederic in The Pirates of Penzance. Ammon also performed as tenor soloist in the Mozart Requiem, and performed in multiple concerts.
In 2022 Ammon was a young artist with The West Australian opera and performed the roles of Almeric in Iolanta, Giuseppe in La Traviata and The Judge in Tosca. Ammon also performed the role of Nick in Freeze Frame Opera’s La Fanciulla del West.
In his spare time, Ammon practices Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, drinks matcha tea and possibly has the worlds largest collection of Hawaiian shirts.
Jarad Newall
Tenor
As an ardent fan of musicals from a young age, it was natural for Jared to embrace the musical theatre scene in his hometown of Perth from a young age. He cut his teeth on some of the classics including Oliver and Guys and Dolls, before making his professional debut more than a decade ago in productions of Hair and Rent. This was followed by a busy period studying musical theatre at the University of Ballarat, where he played a range of roles, followed by a variety of professional engagements, and numerous international tours and album recordings with TTT.
Riley Sutton
Tenor
Originally from Adelaide, Riley trained in Music Theatre at WAAPA. Since graduating, he has performed as u/s Bobby Darin and ensemble in Dream Lover (Gordon Frost), u/s Peter van Leden and ensemble in Madiba the Musical (Prestige Presents), Rapunzel’s Prince and the Steward in Into The Woods (Harvest Rain), ensemble in Catch Me If You Can (Hayes Theatre), and u/s Princeton/Rod and ensemble/swing in Avenue Q (LWP).
Sam Ward
Tenor
Sam is a 2016 graduate of the Victorian College of the Arts. He played the role of Henri Baurel in the original Australian production of An American in Paris, for which he was nominated for a Sydney Theatre Award for Best Performance in a Supporting Role in a Musical. Sam made his professional debut in 2017 in The Production Company’s Jesus Christ Superstar. In the same year he was selected as one of the Top 30 finalists for The Rob Guest Endowment, where he was awarded the ‘Playbill Future Prospect Award’.
Throughout 2018 and 2019 Sam toured Europe and the Caribbean in Priscilla, Queen of the Desert, playing the role of Frank, and understudying the roles of Tick and Bob. His other credits include William Murdoch in Titanic (The Marrollo Project), Whizzer in Falsettos (Stageart), Del in The Beautiful Game (Manilla Street Productions), Marius in Les Miserables, Billy Lawlor in 42nd Street (Free-Rain Theatre Company), and They’re Playing Our Song (Company Eleven), The Enchanted Pig, and Together Apart (Gertrude Opera).
In 2021, Sam lent his voice and physical likeness (through motion capture) to the role of Garret Ward, in the world’s first long-form Virtual Reality musical Castle Gillian. Sam is currently performing in Opera Australia’s production of Miss Saigon, understudying and performing the role of Chris. Sam has been a member of The Ten Tenors since 2019, and is thrilled to get back on the road with the group!
JD Smith
Tenor
JD Smith is the renaissance man of The TEN Tenors, with a CV as diverse as his talents. Since graduating from the musical theatre program at the Arts Academy Ballarat, he’s demonstrated his vast abilities as a singer, songwriter and performer, and recorded numerous solo albums including The Sea of Tears and Invite Me Places, which he took on tour around Australia. From being an original cast member in the Aussie production of Wicked to a featured singer in Carols by Candlelight, lead singer on Royal Caribbean cruise ships to back up singer for many artists including Pete Murray and The Whitlams, he’s done it all.
